While I don't think the set is over powered by any means, I kept finding more and more cards that I wanted to add to the list

The rest of the deck is almost entirely Human-based, with synergistic reprints in Zealous Conscripts, Combat Celebrant, and Door of Destinies to power up your Humans to inconceivable power

Fading featured high-powered cards (for the time) with the drawback of only being on the battlefield based on the number of fading counters on the card

The cards other ability is Protective Embrace, which grants other characters on the players battlefield the Ward status thereby forcing the opponent to either target other cards with attacks or overcome a Challenge to attack warded cards
