The Battlemages were simpler, as they were "virtual vanillas," meaning they had effects when you played them but were just 2/2 creatures for the remaining turns, so they went into Planeshift

As a final note, I dont know anything about the Final Fantasy games myself, and I wont evaluate these cards based on how well they adapt characters, so I wont comment on the flavor at all
