MEDIEVAL EUROPEAN RING C.8TH-12TH CENTURY AD, SIZE 8 ½ 04/29/2025 Waisted lenticular bezel with asymmetricalGilt bronze size 8 with narrow 0. 5mm band flaring to the shoulders which are decorated with a central figure (Christ?) flanked by foliage, worn obscured. Rectangular bezel, plain but likely originally decorated. Perhaps desecrated, which could be explained by its capture by Saracens during the Crusades, or otherwise falling into Islamic hands.
